Default Bob & Helen Angus - visit Killin August 09

Wow! what a place! I left Killin/Crianlarich area in 1960/61 and my first visit back was August 09! Loved it!
Saw places where we used to live, Tirarthur cottage (on a hill behind a caravan site), Loch Dochart where we lived in a whitewashed cottage next to the bridge over the river (going up to Mr Christie's) and then Portnellan. Schools I went to, Ardchyle and Crianlarich. Bob went to Ardchyle and Killin Secondary (then brand new). Places where we had played and much much more besides. Bob saw Christine in the Tourist Info bureau, and tried to catch the eye of Diane Twigg as she watched the parade come down the street (Killin Show day) but without success. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Davie Osler as his message was posted the day we left for home ( I don't know your sister Davie). Bob remembers meeting up with you on a previous visit a few years ago though. And I have passed on to him the message from Tommy Bickerton - Bob is a regular visitor to Aus! would be funny if they met up on the main street of Sydney! It has been known - Bob knows someone everywhere he goes! Had a truly fantastic time and can't wait to visit the area again. Such breathtaking scenery and I was too young to remember it when I lived there, but oh I appreciate it now - bit different to the pit tips of South Yorkshire where I live now!
