I've just setup a new webcam for the site. Now pointing 'down' the main street.
This new webcam has a wireless link between the camera and the computer side of things so if you notice any distortion in the image, this is the reason.
The old webcam was a basic setup with a £20 USB camera pointing out of my office window. It often fell foul to glare from the sun bouncing off the window amongst other things.
The new setup has the camera outside (don't worry - it is all weatherproof) and points away from the sun.
I guess sometimes I don't just sit on ma ar$e and watch the world go by as some folk might think.
:zbleh:
Gregor, what you doing with this webcam? Are you not in danger of breaching some data protection and/or civil liberty law somewhere along the line? Not sure I want to be seen on a web cam wearing my old goonie first thing in the morning looking like something the cat dragged home!
Are you another one who thinks I'm evil and should be sent to Alcatraz?
Don't fear Mags, your mum's house is pretty much hidden from view so your goonie wont be on public display unless you come out on the main street with it on! In which case if you're running up and down the street in your goonie I suppose you'd be 'fair game'? Lol...
Just playing with the settings on the cam and sorting out batteries at the moment which is why the old cam is back.
Gregor - I warned you. Tha webcam has go to got. My nosey brother-in-law, Mr Inglis has just asked me where I have been cos he saw my car leaving the house! I told you it was a bad thing! Mags
I was thinking it might be quite useful. I've been trying to phone my cousin Sandra all weekend and if you turned the camera round a bit then I could check if she's in!
