We are moving into Killin in October and are looking for Kennels and a Cattery for our animals. Can anyone recommend one. I have struggled to find anywhere close to Killin via the Internet. Your help would be much appreciated!

As mentioned in the Wot! No Webcam? thread I registered in December last year but have been rather busy so haven`t had time to join in so I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself. My name`s Davies, although my family call me Jock & before I retired my colleagues called me Mac, time for an identity crisis maybe?

Anyway my family used to live in Killin in the 1950s when my Father (who was a Civil Engineer) was working on the construction of the Hydro-Electric Power system, I & one of my sisters were actually born in Aberfeldy Cottage Hospital. Here`s a photo of my Brothers, Sisters & myself taken at the time beside Fairview House where we lived.

Unfortunately since this photo was taken my eldest sister Yvonne (in the middle of the group) has succumbed to cancer.

Although the family moved many times over the years we always felt Killin to be our home & would return every few years (often staying in Fair View) the last occasion being a few weeks ago. Now that I`m retired I hope to move home to Killin permanently, that`s if you don`t mind an ex-pat returning to the fold.

Well, I feel just plain guilty. I have enjoyed this website and have met many new friends here. I am on a very limited income, but would like to send a small donation to the people of Killin who have spent their own time and resources to keep this site (and my beloved webcam) going. Hi All

We're regular visitors to Killin, normally coming up 2-3 times a year, we love your village!!!! We came up to the tattoo on Monday, and made Killin our base, even though its a 2.5 hour drive. It's always worth it though. We were famous as we were on the internet, as we got some freinds and family to watch us on the killin webcam as we were strolling down the street (must of just got in before it was took down for cleaning) it was a good laugh.

If anyone can help me I was speking to Ron and Sheila in the Killin studio, and they said that I could do with asking BIG Duncan a quick question, can anyone point me in the right direction, so i can ask him a quick question?

Hello Killin. I'm hoping to spend a week's holiday in your beautiful looking town, first week of October 2010. I would welcome suggestions or recommendations where to eat and enjoy the local atmosphere. There will be 4 of us coming up to stay at the Caravan site from west Cumbria and 2 of us are keen to do a spot of fishing, just for sport. Both of us are keen conservationists and don't kill salmon for the sake of it. Unfortunately, age has taken it's toll on our bodies and couldn't manage walking too far, so perhaps boat fishing an optiion? Any help or suggestions would be welcome. Also, so as not to disturb 'the girls' first thing, where's the best place for a hearty full Scottish breakfast?
