R MacGregor Ltd is the premier Greengrocer in Central Scotland. We provide both a Wholesale & Retail service to our customers from our base in Main Street, Killin.
Wholesale
Our Wholesale service is managed through a telesales system where our staff call on Sundays and Wednesdays of each week to see if our customers require an order delivered the following day. If an order is placed we add the items to our list for buying at Glasgow Fruit Market that very night. This provides the freshest produce at convenient times of the week.
The following day, when our vans return from the overnight haul to collect the produce, we start collecting and putting together the orders that have been placed. Once these orders have been made up, we send our vans West to Crianlarich & Tyndrum, South to Lochearnhead & Strathyre and East to as far as Fortingall to deliver your order free of charge. Orders can also be collected from our retail shop during normal opening hours.
It is imperitive that the orders placed the day before are final to avoid any problems or requiring double deliveries. This saves time and money on both parts.
Retail
Our retail shop on the Main Street in Killin is open Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. We are open late on a Friday until 7.00pm and are open on Sundays, 9.30am to 5.00pm from May to September. We stock a vast array of groceries as well as our main fruit and vagetables, as well as freshly baked bread and rolls every morning, fresh milk every morning and fresh fish from Aberdeen on a Thursday morning.
Thursday is our main market day so it is advisable that to have the greatest and freshest choice of produce in Killin, get in early on a Thursday morning before what you need is going... going... GONE!!
